Yeah, no kidding. If you think of a 60-minute conversation as the
equivalent of playing Russian Roulette or earning a thousand dollars,
you need to get out more. ;)
Actually, I've seen a couple of version of a "social interaction" or
"language" school around... I even submitted one or two to the list,
back in the day. "Sociomancy", I think I called one, which involved
having casual social interactions with many people. The taboo was that
you couldn't have any close relationships. Then PoMoMa came out with
Amoromancy, so I dropped the idea. I also had one based on language, but
I never came up with a playable/balanced charge-gaining and taboo
system. Lots of great spells, though, like giving people aphasia and
making secret messages that only one other person can understand.
Graphomancy was put up somewhere, and I thought it was the best
semiotics-based school I'd seen. I prefer it to Infomancy, which was
sort of similar.
