yep. and the supernatural defence society (or whatever they'd called) makes
a good setup for campaigns. the PCs are all society agents who get sent out
on missions. i like how you can have a wide range of characters, from
superheroes to psychics to mutants to friendly demons. and of course plain
ordinary humans who just know how to handle themselves.

i've got a torch of liberty comic kicking around somewhere, with him
battling lenin's ghost. no, really.

yeah, definitely. pulp horror meets pulp superheroics, sorta thing. earth
may be destroyed by the eternal evil of the elder gods, but it's nothing a
good right hook can't stop. not particularly UA, i realise, but something i
think UA's system could handle quite well given a bit of tweaking (like in
chad underkoffler's pulp campaign).
