[UA] (OT) No WoD Gaslight.

Beauregard is a great model for PCs; in some games, a mixture of action, 
intrigue, and style is more fun than a bloody big gun or magical powers.

The Beauregard in my game was in a different situation; there was no Dracula 
as Prince Regent, but he was one of the few people aware that Victoria was 
actually a disguised (and sublte!) Lilith.

Possibility for Gaslight UA Cabals: When I was writing Clandestyne by 
Gaslight, I took the Secret Societies book for Nephilim, grabbed a bunch of 
the interesting ones, and declared all the Nephilim-relevant bits to be 
false, rebuilding the secrets and purpose of each secret society as though 
they were written by a design team of Barker, Newman, Lovecraft, and a bit 
of Joss Whedon. Then I added the Orphic Circle, because they're always fun.

You could do something similar for Gaslight UA. It's hard to imagine the 
setting without some kind of Rosicrucian conspiracy, for example, but what 
would the Rosicrucians be like in UA? Throw in all of the allusions and 
literary references that you like, and you're halfway there.

The man deserves to be thanked, yes. I read "Red Reign" (the novella that 
turned into Anno Dracula" in the Mammoth Book ov Vampires, or something, 
then sought out other newman stuff like Famous Monsters (a short story 
anthology, some very UA-able) and Jago.

If you haven't read "The Bloody Red Baron," you really should do so. The 
chapeter list alone makes me laugh. "Biggles Goes West", indeed...

And the scene with Dr. West in the trenches could be used for UA.
