Excellent!  This is exactly the sort of thing I was
looking for!  I only vaguely remembered the
"testifying" bit, but there's one more idea I had up
my sleeve and I was hoping everyone would ring in on
it.

Thank you, everyone who responded to the question. 
I'll post a breif list of all the answers I managed to
mine out of people and explain why.
