I'd imagine the OU as being comprised of those out for their own hides (Dirk Allen, Alex Abel, etc) and those looking so much at the big picture that the little details (like a few human lives) are negligible (the House rep from the main book, the Order of St. Cecil, the Cult of the Naked Goddess, etc). Normal human life is balancing the big picture (higher ideals, religion and philosophical beliefs) with the small picture (looking out for yourself, etc) which tends to be unbalanced one way or the other in OU members.

Once he's in the IC, the humanity is more-or-less burned away (or rather, stored in a back closet of the universe until booted by a godwalker) and just the archetype is there, and the archetypes are going to be religiously unspecified (that is, you may have an archetype of the Priest, but it will be open to Priests of any religion, not just Christian priests or Buddhists or whatever) though they could still be associated witht he idea of religion in general. After being booted through the House, religious conversion seems likely (especially if ascended as a religious archetype like the Priest) though not necessary (possibly, his mind could warp the visions of the Statosphere into visions of heaven and the like).
