Okay, just to let people know, I'm not trying to be a
smartass here.  I just want to clear something up.

Do you mean a Pyric Victor or a Pyrrhic Victor?

Pyric: resulting from, induced by, or associated with
burning

Pyrrhic: acheived at excessive cost; costly to the point of
negating or outweighing expected benefits

Since you mention nuclear weapons, I can see where Pyric
Victory would be relevant (and indeed, I am titillated by
the ease of substitution of Pyrrhic with Pyric in this
case), but the rest of your example makes me wonder if you
mean Pyrrhic instead.  

Please don't construe this as an attack.  I know that often
on lists, when someone nitpicks about word usage, it's
often an attempt at pettiness.  I offer none of that.

And I should point out that the Pyrrhic Victor would be a
cool archetype.
