Both.  Good and decent folks still contain a sort of undercurrent of
repressed desire to hurt others...

Were this the best of possible worlds, what function would the resurrection
of the Universe serve?  I'm willing to admit it might be directionless,
merely a pretty screensaver on the surface of Eternity, but assuming you see
the Cosmic Resurrection Cycle as a process working toward an endpoint, we
cannot be the endpoint.
