I always imagined viral infection to be outside the realm of
Epideromancy -- although the Healer is supposed to have access to this
kind of healing.

Awesome. Perfect PoMo take on the Greek tragedy or the Gothic horror
story. It's a little morality tale with a well-known God/mythological
figure (the Godwalker of the Merchant) being called upon to help a
couple of stupid mortals, and their lives being destroyed by what they
wish for. This is the Merchant in Satanic/Trickster mode, the deal-maker
who empowers people to destroy themselves (a la Faust).
