This was the part I knew would raise eyebrows. Actually, it's not like that
at all. The only thing he's really done is close the upwards stairs to
Meaning. He still picks the same people for renunciation as the room would
have picked itself, but he's dipping a lot at one end of the pool and
ignoring the other side. Eventually, it'll probably bite him on the ass,
but for right now, he thinks he's in charge.
Think of it this way: In a corporate office where each cubicle must meet
certain requirements, he's got a Dilbert cartoon next to the door. That's
about the extent that he's modified the Room.
