Without a doubt.  I just have a soft spot in my heart
for the rarely-used-in-an-rpg, Cinderella-esque "The
Dead Must Return to their Graves at Cockcrow" angle,
which boxes of Earth specifically circumvents.

I've always liked the idea of the dead being composed
of a "finer matter," so that the actual undead
spirit/what-have-you leaves its own corpse as a kind
of spook-generating battery back in its grave.

It certainly allows me to work variations on the
"Grateful Dead" theme into my games.
