This is pretty close to my idea for Narcomancy, where the first time you try 
a new drug or combo of drugs, you get a significant charge.

Speaking of which, I'll get a full version of that posted to the list within 
a couple of days. Greg, are you still interested in using it?

Oh, and about Dipsomancy focusing on the vessel: I see some problems with it 
(mainly the sudden jump in scale for the boozehound), but overall, I like 
it. It makes the divisions between minor, significant, and major charges 
very visible; contrast this to some other schools like Oneiromancy or 
Cryptomancy where the only difference is a one of scale. Also, requiring a 
significant vessel resonates a bit with the Grail, and that is good to have 
in an occult game.

My solution, if I were to ever run a game with a boozehound in it, would be 
three part. One: make sure that getting the vessel is hard to do. Make it 
the focus on a whole series of sessions. Two: Once the dipso has it, make 
the number of unnatural phenomena around him go up by an order of magnitude, 
and link those events to the history of the cup. Three: Make it hard to 
keep. Every other drunkard in town is going to know pretty soon and they'll 
be after it. Plus, drunks aren't too well known for having a good memory. 
Losing it a definite possibility.
