I assume all these guys are friends?  You can work a lot
into them.  The rich boy could pay off a few authority
figures to overlook certain indiscretions that the serial
killer and vampire nut may perform.  This also keeps the
group viable since you don't want to throw them in jail too
often (but that can be a fun plot device too).  I could see
the Uni student playing a Vampire LARP and seeing traces of
the vampire cult in it.

If the group isn't necessarily a group of friends, then you
may see some conflict.  No one is a cop, so that's good. 
Even so, some characters may have issues with the serial
killer if they know his penchant for murder.  I'm sure that
the student and rich boy argue a lot.  I suspect that the
anticapitalist only goes as far as to spout out rhetoric. 
He's not interested in destroying possessions or anything,
right?

Just some observations.
