Actually, I that these two got mixed up. As it stands,
superman is really just clark kent wearing a costume.
Bruce Wayne is a disguise for Batman. Batman's
obsession has completely overpowered him to the point
where it was skillfully explained in an episode of
Batman Beyond. Bruce Wayne, now a very old man,
believed he was becoming senile because he heard
voices whispering "Bruce.... Bruce...." Eventually it
was revealed that Bruce knew he wasn't going insane.
How? 

He doesn't call himself Bruce.
