Whenever I died in my dreams, there was no pain.  I just kind of lied down in the street and watched Abe Lincoln (who had just shot me... I think it comes from Sandman) run off.

There's a poem that begins "Your Mom and Dad, they fuck you up" which seem to more or less summarize how parents tend to fail at their job.  (I forget the poet, alas)

I've never settled for "because" which would be why I'm a philosophy major and categorically unemployable.  It never answered any questions, but now I know more about the questions.

ObUAJr: Children tend to be even less skilled and in control of their environment than adults, so it fits in with the feel of UA having characters fail and not always be in control (which isn't to say the players aren't in control and get choices, just that the world doesn't always agree).  More helplessness checks, and lots of self checks once you reach high school age, I bet.  Children hould be less powerful, as opposed to other games I've seen that make child characters more powerful to make up for being children.
