There is the need for a mystic paradox (or physical paradox for one school I
wrote up) and the desire to explicitly work it for magick. Not everyone who
is obsessed with something has the mental capacity to fit magic into that
framework and retain enough of an obsession to make it work.
Toss in the need to be cognizant of the paradox and magic isn't as everyday.
