Pattern match this, then.

The night before last, I dreamed that my wife and I lived in tall houses
next door to one another.  Specifically, we each lived on the top floor of
those houses.  We were still married, though apparently her employer didn't
know that.  She was a governess or something, taking care of the kid who
lived in her house.  I could get into her room by going across the balcony.
 (The houses were very close.)  So there's this kind of Cathy/Heathcliffe
thing working between us where we want to be together but, for whatever
reason, we can't tell her employer we're married.  Plus, she had a tattoo
between her breasts.  It was one of those "visible woman" anatomical models.

Interpretations, anyone?
