I had a surreal RPG moment this morning listening to
the news on the radio. Apparently a man in Utah was
just sentenced to jail-time for repeatedly drilling
holes in a woman's head. Apparently, he believed (and
I assume she did to) that through trephination she
would be cured of depression, since He claims to have
been cured in a similar way.
I actually I thought of the other Tynes baby, Delta
Green, as there is a organization consisting of people
who practice it in that game (the Army of the Third
Eye, which I won't reveal why they do it here).
But I'm sure it would be easy to fit trephination
(sp?) into UA somehow.
My contribution,
-----------------------------
There's a article in Pyramid magazine's Suppressed
Transmission called "I need a trepanation like I need
a
hole in the head.". My father,a doctor, claims that
trepanation is an easy but nerve-racking, you worry
that you're going to drill strait into the brain but
there's a slight weakening that warns you to back off.
A friend of his once perform the operation with a
Black
and Decker Workmate, saving a man's life.
Trepanation would be a great way to get information
without too much pain to the victim. It really looks
like you're a sadistic homicidal manic so people will
fess up, but the pain and risk of death is probably
low.
