Thanks for the support, I'm doing more work on the ideas and I'm vaguely
trying to get them published somewhere. I think that there are millions of
pacts between the IC and us "puny mortals." I think that on some level,
rituals are the result of those pacts, as is the ability of avatars to
"simulate" the capabilities of the clergy. I don't think those agreements
are written down necesarrily, but I think the tradition of pacts with god is
a variation of this idea changed through oral tradition.
