Here's a question that's been running through my mind for a while:  If you use a fictionalized version of a given city, then what do you do about historically significant locations and such in the city?  Either you make up new ones (and have to mention overtly any sig. worthy locations, which would tip off PCs who know about cliomancy) or you adapt the pre-existing locations, which seems like the kind of thing you're trying to get away from when fictionalizing the city in the first place?

The town I'd be using wouldn't have anything worth more than a minor, but the question remains.
