I get the oposite, and it's damn annoying. This kind of dream normally occurs when I'm sleeping very lightly, or am just dozing or whatever. My mind writes - that is, it creates a text, often one I'm meant to write myself soon, like an essay or something, but most recently part of what seemed like a textbook on the Roman army. A voice in my head - mine, usually - just starts reeling off the words I need, in the right order and everything. 
Sometimes I can see the book, too.

And then I wake up and can't remember how it went. 

Like I said, annoying.
