Subject: [UA] Russian Roulette... once agian... sorry

Following on from the conversation about Russian Roulette and it's origins... is there any
documented evidence of the game being played in Vietnam. I watched The Deer Hunter
again the other night and felt strongly that if Michael Cimino was so entranced by the Russian
Roulette games in the field and in Saigon that there must be something to it. Does anyone
know of this or was Cimino using it purely for dramatic/symbolic effect? In fact, if Michael
Cimino or anyone involved knows please let us know. My girlfriend and I are becoming
  obsessed!

Another point critics focused on were the dramatic Russian Roulette scenes. They were accused of being entirely fictitious and Cimino had to admit that a game like this has never been played in SouthEast Asia but pleaded for dramatic license.
