Hm... could we drag this, kicking and screaming, back on topic somehow?

There could be some sort of sect that avoids alcohol to an excessive degree
-- not only won't drink it, they won't talk to someone who's been drinking
(because the fumes from their breath might contaminate, dont'cha know),
they leave the room if a bottle is opened, they won't disinfect with
alcohol...  Hm.  

Alternately... is there something magick-with-a-real-k about those moments
of perfect consumption?  (Gourmancy redux?)  I can personally still
remember the best meal I ever had.  And the best desert.
