Beer tastes like boiled ass no matter the context.  The 
only context where beer might taste good to me is if 
I'd just had a shot of Novocaine or something similar, 
making my mouth numb.  Beer is definitely an acquired 
taste, and I have not yet, and hopefully never will, 
acquire a taste for it.  Now Irish cream on the other 
hand...
