I second this - I saw it in a book store and, having seen it recommending on the list,
decided to buy it.  It's very well written, and explains a lot about some of the
features of sydney.

As for not mentioning Eternity:  It's part of sydney history, but it's not current.  A
year of two back there was a period of eternity being written around the CBD, but that
only lasted a very short time.  While most sydney siders are aware of it, it's not
somehthing you think of consciously, just a part of life.  Like the crazy guy in Gordon
who was kicked in the head by a horse when he was a youg child and now walks around
picking up litter and moving peoples garbage bins around.

The opening ceremony was really well done up the point where the athletes started to
march in.  The aerial wire techniques and the lighting effect were increadable.
And now that's over, the olympics has nothing to offer me except for transport
disruptions and misplaced patriotism.

With the amout of obsession surrounding the olympics I'm sure someone is getting a lot
of charges from it.  The city disruption are an urbanomancers dream - someone in the
right position could have racked up several major charges by now.
