Well, I could maybe have been a little more precise :)
I think every magick school is kind of paradoxical in UA, and here it would
clearly be "use magick to get rid of unnatural phenomena" (cure the like with
the like?). In this case there's 2 possible taboos:
- a magick-related one: you lose all your charges if you're trying to use your
magick for something that's not related to "reducing unnatural phenomenas".
- a mundane-related one: you can never bet. Not even say "it's going to fail".
But of course "I read that people that [...] were 3x more likely to fail" would
be ok.
The 1st one is a bit complicated to enforce, and not so interesting. The 2nd
one could be an interesting RP challenge...
Also, I've lost the mail from someone who talked about M:tA and the Paradox
effect. Well, that's interesting, but I'd see an adept to be a little more
active than just going around being a charge-vampire. I'd rather see them like
the agents from a well-known movie.
Finally, I was more inclined to use the Archetype anyway. I think this is quite
important now that we are flood with statistics, polls and the opinion of the
average person in the street: "the anonymous average citizen".
