French toast is produced thusly:

Take one egg, and a tablespoon of milk (some recipes have a cup of milk
instead)

Beat these two ingredients together.

Dip bread, usually white sliced, into mixture.

Shallow fry in a hot pan until golden brown

Serve, usually sprinkled with sugar, or alternatively with jam, and perhaps
cream.
