"Golden Arches" sounds like a good title for the Mak Attack book, come to think of it.

Anyway, I was going to say that it might be more fun to look in the other direction, to the previous incarnations of reality. Maybe the McD's M was the symbol of some god's religion (or used by an IC member as a symbol of some archetype). Maybe Jesus Christ was a famous politician, and the cross was the symbol for his political party. Etc, etc, I dunno what else (use the cutups method on an issue of Time magazine for ideas, I'm lazy).

The fun part hear would be the Comte, who's the person who remembers the previous realities. Every once in a while, he'll look up at, say, an advertisement for a fictitious movie and talk about the characters as if they were real and he'd known them, long ago. Or he'll constantly refer to the fact that Asia used to be controlled by talking lizard men, etc.

I really like the idea that a given fantasy world was a previous incarnation of reality, and there are no elves and dwarves and such around because the clergy one time ended up all human (and filled with archetypes that tended to exclude other races and/or ignore/lessen differences between them).

Mr. Teapot
was a piece of french toast in the last reality
