I also liked the idea of someone manipulating another person into an
extraordinary role. From a UA standpoint, Bruce's character was steered
into becoming an archetype of The Protector by Elijah. Perhaps he had
taken some small steps down this path during his life, but Elijah pushed
him to use his channels and take up a more active pursuit of the path. Of
course, it isn't a perfect analogy, but the theme is certainly useable. I
particularly like the thought of someone forcing another on the path to an
archetype in order to pursue their own archetype. It is a fascinating
twist.
