That would be the one I was thinking of, yes.  As to the rest of the post, it was partly in jest and partly suggesting the Scooby Doo ending, where you'd convince the PCs there's something totally supernatural going on and then give a mundane solution that should have been their first guess.  That's one of the things I like about UA is the section on the unexplained.  But I also agree with what you said (if that's possible without contradicting myself)
