When people think vampires are ficticious it's even easier for the
universe to cover up their existance. Bram Stoker was actually under
the subtle influence of Cosmic Reality* when he wrote Dracula.

More of a spy than an assassin - they couldn't kill anyone whose death
couldn't be easily covered up by reality, and teh same goes for
stealing. Even providing important information may have huge
consequences.

They would be of incredable value to the field of Quantum Magick - they
can observe *anything* without affecting it. They can stand next to a
falling tree in a forest and tell if it makes a noise. They can work
out where a subatomic particle is without making it move. They can look
in the box containing Scrodengers cat without forcing the cat to either
be alive or dead.

Trouble is, they can't tell anyone what they know.

* Or the Invisible Clergy, or the Compte, or the Cruel Ones, or whatever
force works to keep reality running smoothly.
