Well, in Bill in Three Persons, the third Bill is an avatar of the Fool and doesn't realize it.  (and the Messenger guy in the fiction pieces starts down another avatar path without realizing it, the same as the Naked Goddess might have followed)

I believe the rule some go by, proposed by Greg (if I remember correctly) is that an unwitting avatar can reach up to 50% in the skill, but no higher.  (Of course this doesn't mesh with Bill having a 55%, but you can either ignore this, chalk it up as an error, or give some leniency for avatars of the Fool).
