Allen doesn't even remember the Freak's real name, if he ever knew it.  To
him, the Freak-as-it-was was just another minor player -- a pawn to be
bypassed on his way to putting the king in check.  To the Freak, Allen was
a man who waltzed into its life and destroyed just about everything.

That's the drawback to total selfishness: It's IMPOSSIBLE to keep track of
the enemies you haven't even identified.
