Just remember any role-playing settting that appears contempery to ordinary people is a perfectly valid theory of what the world is really like.  UA, World of
Darkness, CoC, OtE would all appear mundane to someone not involved in the strangeness going on.  If your job to to hide the existance of magic from ordinary
people, what better way than to present it as fiction?  Then whenever something supernatural happens, it's likely to be attributed to people that are taking their
LARPing too seriously instead of people working real magic.  And when someone says "John Tynes is head of the Illuminati"  it's easier to discredit when it's
common knowledge he is just a writer whose work involves the (fictional) occult.
