A major charge could practically anything. In
game-speak it is the opportunity to change the world
on a global level. A cryptomancer could conceivably
reverse a universal truth, so that reality seesaws to
conform to the cryptomancers wishes; just as
Einstein's relativity was rodgered by some smart
physicists when they accelerated a particle to 30
times c.

Ideas:

A virtual, side-dimension mansion accessible by
entering service-entrances of condemned buildings
whilst reading tabloid headlines backwards.

Create an instant and successful musical phenomonon
consisting of re-mixed computer-enhanced
radiation-to-sound activity of home-made cyclotrons.

Make one language in the world disappear completely.
This language would be replaced by another existing
language as all existance would be erased. This
suddenly-extinct language may get upset and resurface
in nightmares. Those that studied the language may
retain some understanding of it. Perhaps Klingon was
the pre-existing language of Russia...

A weird periodical magazine found only second-hand
bookshops, the PC visits, has a back-page crossword
that when completed, predicts the major events within
the next seven days with uncanny success.

Cheers,

Chris.
