I hate them because I've always hated Scooby Doo, but that's my particular
cross to bear.
I've done a little more research into the whole vanishing thing, which I'll
post up really soon now, but one decidedly unscooby-like turn would involve
the screams from nowhere, which the police ultimately dismiss as coyotes or
pranksters. The next evening, the woods are unnaturally quiet, and
positively no one wants to venture out of their homes for any reason. Next
morning, however, they awake to discover body parts strewn throughout the
woods, with bloody smears painting this tree and that. In the center of the
woods is the victim, identifiable as a man only through careful study of the
remains. The coroner's report reveals that it took him hours to die, his
vocal chords strained from the stress of screaming for help that was a day
too early.
