Sorry to be late, summer examinations are very time 
demanding... By the way, hello and welcome to all newcomers 
(Sasha and Eric, and perhaps some others).

Harder they are, but I think they are useful to keep the 
unnatural events *really* unnatural. If every scenarios of 
your campaign is about supernatural stuff, it cease to be 
unnatural to become normal and boring. 

And what about a false hoax a la "frighteners"? First, 
the PC investigate on a unnatural event. Then they discover 
this is a hoax. But the hoax is here to conceal a real 
unnatural event... Like: PC have to investigate on a 
haunted house, then they found basic freakshow mechanisms 
that make scary voices and ghostly lights. This stuff was 
placed here by a XXXomancer experimentating in the basement 
(or the attic) thinking: I can make weird sounds and lights 
since this mansion is known as an haunted house, and if 
someone come investigating, she'll soon discover that this 
is simply a hoax... and won't think there's a real sorcerer 
in the basement.
