[UA] Unknown Portlandia (campaign background)

This is the player's handout for my UA game.  I will next post my thoughts on
the OU in PDX.

	Unknown Portlandia

	Five years ago, in 1995, a group of friends at Portland State University
broke up as the majority of them graduated and promised to get together again
in five years.  Now it is 2000 and the reunion is at hand . . .
	The venue chosen for your reunion is the annual H. P. Lovecraft film

	You were one of these friends, united by a shared interest in the occult. 
Some were skeptics, others were believers, but all of you enjoyed talking
about the possibility of the occult.  Esoteric philosophy, goth bands, and bad
horror movies were among the staples of your discussions.


	Three of the other members of the circle:

	Enrico "Ricky" Aguinaldlo.  Filipino film maker and big fan of the horror
genre.  After graduating, returned to the Philippines to make low budget
horror films.  Ricky's Manila Envelope Productions is premiering "The Horror
at Subic Bay" at this year's H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival.
	A well built man (his other hobby is weight-lifting), Ricky is usually found
smoking a cigar ("You Americans have no appreciation of fine tobacco."). 
Ricky is also a distant relative/ descendant of Emilio Aguinaldlo, the famous
Filipino patriot.

	Lucy Jones (nee DeMarco).  Journalism major now working for Newsweek.  Always
more interested in the people and politics than the occult itself, since
graduating (with Honors) Lucy has defected to the straights.  Married to
Arthur Jones, an up and coming California Democratic Congressman (who is
taking a break from his busy campaign schedule to relax for the weekend with
his wife).
	Lucy is tall, blond and pretty.  The classic all-American girl

	Catherine "Kat" Zereilli.  Music major.  After dropping out of PSU went on to
found the all girl Goth-Dance band "Natural Pussy" which has had some success
in the NW and has two indy albums out: "Bad Kitty" (1998) and "Wet and Shaved"
(2000).
	Kat is small (5'4") and wiry with waist length black hair with a red streak
died in.  Never a shrinking violet, she has only become more aggressive with
the success of Natural Pussy.


"We all must wander some in our youth.  Doesn't St. Reptillicus, in his
oft-quoted 19th Epistle to the Furniture Company, tell us, 'If they won't
deliver, you've got to go out for the stuff'?"
