Hey there everyone, how were the holidays?
Anyway, I'm planning on running a UA one-shot in a little over a week for
some people who would like to see what the game is about, and I was
wondering if anyone had any suggestions/resources.
(Joe, you should probably stop reading here)
They wanted to actually go through character creation and all of that, and
since I haven't read my copy of One Shots yet (and one player has), I
thought it would be best to just come up with something new. They want to
be able to explore the setting and options. I'll probably guide one player
into being an adept and another into an avatar, but UA is loose enough for
them to work themselves out.
As for the plot, I'm not entirely sure what I want to do. My initial idea
was something of a short-n-sweet to-the-point story. People in the Occult
Underground start disappearing and fingers start pointing, the most likely
culprit being the Sleepers (btw, I haven't read Hush Hush yet, sadly). Of
course in true cinema fashion, it can't be them and is instead something
else, something icky and distinctly UA. Not that I have any idea what that
thing is.
I'm not really looking for a brilliant plot here, I really just want
something simple that I can't screw up and will give me the chance to show
the game to the newbies. So any ideas would be more than welcome. I think
my only real strong stipulations so far as "simple" and "one-shotty".
And similarly, if anyone has any UA handouts that they are willing to
share, I'd _love_ to have those to give to people.
Thanks in advance for anyone's help.
