I'd say yes, but with caveats.  First off, you capture a school of magick
and you've already got one, bingo, the two-school curse (see UNKNOWN ARMIES
page 77, the law of obedience) kicks in.  Second, if you aren't already a
practicing adept and you steal a magick skill, you still probably take some
Self or Unnatural check(s) because of the alien point of view.  It's up to
the GM whether the thief fully understands taboos and charge structure,
too.  Third, regarding avatar skills -- obviously not if you've already got
an avatar skill, but if you don't, sure.  Just don't taboo it away.  For
real fun, I'd have it that the guy with the stolen avatar skill DOESN'T
automatically know the taboos.  (After all, one can be an accidental avatar
if one is low-level, but nobody's an accidental adept.)
