I don't know about cliomancy.  The effort that it takes to get to the moon 
could be spent on getting involved with a sensationalist academic commitee 
that will publish crazy revisionist history stuff and get into most papers 
(doesn't have to be history, medical stuff in this vein hits the papers all 
the time) or start some sort of etymology urban myth (rule of thumb is about 
hitting your wife with sticks, picnic is derived for a eupamism for lynching 
etc.) without spending all the money or drawing attention to yourself as 
"Someone tossing around big time mojo."
