It's kinda similar to Miller's work, and doesn't seem to me quite so similar to Moore's (though I haven't truthfully read much of either). A demon raised by humans hunts the occult. Check out http://www.hellboy.com/hbcomicsonline.html for a taste of the series. (Note that most of the comics are hosted on playboy.com, as apparently Dark Horse Comics is in league with Hugh Hefner. Don't blame me for any of the other stuff there)

To a certain degree, there are bits of Hellboy that mesh well with UA, but there are also bits that aren't. Much of the stuff in it has a strong old-school occult feel, and often has bits from actual legends about whatever. The actions sequences as well are bigger and flashier than they are deadly. It all depends on the tone of your campaign and such, I guess.

(PS to the guy with a campaign in Gotham: what about the Batman/Hellboy/Starman crossover? Actually, I only say this because, for some reason, I really want Starman in UA, though it's not really appropriate).
