Obviously the protagonist is an avatar of the Musician or
 some such (likely, the archetype used to be part of the 
Poet, but with poetry's decline in importance for society 
one could argue that a godwalker kicked out the previous 
IC member and shifted it over some... I ramble) who's on a
 mission to battle it out with the other high level 
avatars after the 'death' of Elvis, which was actually his
 ascension into the Statosphere, leaving the godwalker 
position open for the taking.  


The rest of the movie would need a weird campaign, though,
 what with the apocalypse and the bowlers and all.
