Yeah, he could effectively mask his DNA, though not very convincingly:

   Lab Assistant:  "Um, sir?"

   Scientist:  "Yeah?"

   LA:  "It's about this DNA test I just ran."

   S:  "Mm?"

   LA:  "Well, this guy appears to be both a toad, and a new strain of
        E. coli."

Maybe it wouldn't be all that hard if he had someone else's blood so he
could mimic that person's DNA ... but then why not just swap blood
samples?
