Can someone summarise ratings in America? In Australia R is restricted
to 18+, but from your comments it sounds like in America R is a lower
rating than NC-17, which I assume means 17+ years old only?

There was some sort of Vampire novel released that included things like
necrophillia, rape, beastiality and so on. (WW put a chapter up on their
web site, and that included rape/incest/pedophillia/necrophillia with a
headless corpse) The illustrations supposedly included sexulised
violence. The gaming store I frequent was selling it, but it was held
behind the counter and only sold to 18 year olds (offically at least)

Assuming this book is as bad as it was supposed to be (and I wasn't
going to buy just to find out, far too expensive IMO) it should have
been submitted to the Australian board of Film and literature, where
depending on the opinion of the censors it should have been either 18+
or banned altogether. ( I would like ot think 18+, but occasionally
Australian censors get pushed around by political considerations and ban
things that should (IMO) be let in)

PoMoMa was on display with everything else in the new releases section.
AFAIK that vampire novel is the only thing that has ever been sold from
behind teh conter liek that (Although I heard rumors they sold
grey-market pokemon cards before they were officially imported)

I thought is was a penis and mouth (to catch drips/violate itself) but
to be honest I didn't check that closely.
