I know I know...this was discussed not so long ago, but let me weigh 
in with what I think is the best music for unsettling background 
music while gaming:  Juan Garcia Esquivel, the father of Space Age 
Bachelor Pad music.  Everything from cool far out jazz to a trio of 
women "oinking" to the tune of jingle bells.  He did music for the 
A-Team, Simon & Simon, Magnum P.I., Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, 
the Equalizer. Adam 12, Airwolf, Harlem Globetrotters on Gilligan's 
Island, to name just a few.   It can really mess with players to have 
it on, very quietly, while a grisly scene takes place.
