>Any suggestions as to:
>1) Who was Sasha?
I'm tempted to say he's Mr. Vykos, but that's the White Wolf fanboy within
me calling out.
So who was Sasha Boltevi? He's a hot-dog salesmen, and he's wanted to do
that all his life. He never really can get over the joy of watching little
children smile as the smear ketchup and ground-up pig pieces all over their
cute little faces. He walks his little cart around town, from the scenic
(and tourist-clumped) pier to the sun-shiney park. He's there with his
famous hotdogs. Pretty good value too.
>2) Why was his bathrobe--in excellent condition--for sale in a
>used-clothing store?
Because he couldn't bear having it any more. She gave it to him as a gift
one year, and he cherished it while she was with him - but it didn't last.
Nothing ever lasts for Sasha. She had said she wanted to act, that's why
she had moved to this town, but Sasha never knew she wanted to act in
_those_ kinds of movies. He would have been okay with it, he loved her, but
he wouldn't go to the set or watch her movies, like "The Bridal
Whorehouse." He couldn't bear seeing her like that.
Then she said it was over, and she had to leave him, that she couldn't
leave her work "at the office," she had to live it, to "become it."
After that it was just too painful for Sasha to open his closet and see it
there, or to watch it hang limply in the bathroom after a shower. He loved
her, but she was gone, and if he was going to do more than moan for how
everyone could have her but him, he had to get rid of it.
>3) What happens to the person who wears it?
You feel all warm and fuzzy and get to lounge around the house without
having to really get dressed. Damn relaxing that, eh?
Oddly enough, I'm writing this in my bathrobe.
