Was anyone NOT scared by the winged monkeys?  Personally, I think they had
the advantage of kick-ass theme music too (dah dunt dah DAH dah daaah

Of course, for real preteen nightmare fodder, "Willy Wonka" gets my vote.  

1) If you watch closely during the scene where they're going through the
tunnel on the boat, you can see a chicken getting decapitated.
2) The girl who swelled up scared the piss out of me, but worst of all was...
3) Those creepy fuckin' Oompa Loompas.  

Then again, maybe I was just a high strung kid.  After all, look what I'm
doing now...
