Just thinking about my convergence-of-undergrounders post, and wanted to
amend it slightly.  (If someone else has already done so, my apologies:  I
subscribe to the digest.)

All of a sudden, this strikes me as very much a YMMV ("your milage may
vary") issue.  I personally like this idea, so maybe that's why I inferred
it from the book.

Whatever works for your stories, I guess is what I'm saying.  We all seem
to have somewhat different interpretations, which could be taken as either
(a) a weakness in the message of the designers (they didn't get the point
across like they wanted) or (b) a strength (they wanted to leave it open
for us to tinker with however we wanted).  I think most of us can agree on
which is the more accurate interpretation here, at least.
