So, who is this Tim Powers geek, anyway?

Naw, I'd say about as holy. Earthquake Weather almost got him
decanonized.

Specifically, for Avatar stuff. LC's also probably my favorite of the
lot.

Get high by snorting ghosts. Not actually as fun as I make it sound, but
not terrible either.

Specifically, LC and ED are unconnected, but EW brings characters from
both books together. EW also isn't as good as either of its predecessors,
but it has its moments (such as Elvis sightings increasing because people
can sense the Undying King's approach).

Most people like this best of his work. Weird-ass time travel and kooky
sorcerors.

Voodoo pirates! Arr. I found it a little dry, but it's got Blackbeard,
so it isn't actually bad.

I haven't been able to find these either. Actually, I saw Deviant used,
but the blurb didn't make it sound that good...

Fun with Byron and the Shelleys. A cute take on both vampires and
nephilim. I hear people blast this book all the time, but I actually
liked it almost as much as Last Call.

His next book is supposed to be about werewolf secret agents (on which
theme I highly recommend Robert McCammon's The Wolf's Hour, a highly
cinematic piece of pulp whose protagonist can only be described as a
lycanthropic James Bond).
