Someone mentioned Los Angeles (Motto: "The City Where God Stubs Out His
Cigars") as a focus for Velomancy.  I like it: and you should know that one
idea I was kicking around (and which may some day peek it's ugly head out
some published product) is that sometime in the recent past, a gang of
vicious L.A. warlocks decided to go up to San Fran and clean house.  So the
general mystic tone of L.A. is vicious, selfish and brutal, while San Fran
is more laid back, more spiritual, and far more likely to get ground into a
bloody pulp.  (San Fran has a few heavy hitters who are still around from
the old days, but they're biding their time and covering their asses -
probably waiting for the L.A. invaders to turn on each other...)
